Recipe: Tasty Egg Muffins

Recipe: Tasty Egg Muffins

Clean eating is not a ‘diet’ but a lifestyle. One of the biggest challenges for most people when trying to eat healthier is breakfast and snack options.

The recipe we have for you today addresses BOTH of those issues in one easy recipe.

These egg muffins are great to grab in the morning when you’re rushing out the door or when you need a quick, high protein snack after the gym or between meals.

The best part about this recipe is that you can add any of your favorite healthy omelet ingredients so it’s easy to switch up your own favorite flavors to keep this snack new and tasty time after time.

At Fit Media Concepts, this is definitely one of our favorite go-to snacks. These egg muffins are delicious, filling, AND healthy!

Here are some ideas for alternate ingredients:
Chicken sausage, turkey bacon, ham cubes, low fat cheeses, broccoli, spinach, bell peppers, salsa, onions, tomatoes, olives, mushrooms… possibilities are endless!

Muffins will store in the fridge for a week OR make several batches at once and put the extra in the freezer. Allow frozen muffins to thaw in the fridge over night.

What IS my body type?

What IS my body type?

Just as clothes and shoes come in different sizes to fit each person individually, so should fitness plans! One of the biggest misconceptions about striving for a healthier lifestyle is thinking that the same nutrition plan and workout routine will give the same results for everyone.

In order to truly set yourself up for success, you must take a realistic look at your metabolism and body type.

So… what are the body types?
While these three body types are not necessarily ‘one size fits all’, understanding which type most closely describes your natural skeletal frame, muscular composition, and metabolic rate is essential for understanding how your body will respond mos effectively to changes in fitness and nutrition.

According to Muscle and Strength

ECTOMORPH TRAITS:
Small “delicate” frame and bone structure
          Classic “hardgainer”
          Flat chest
          Small shoulders
          Thin
          Lean muscle mass
Finds it hard to gain weight
          Fast metabolism

MESOMORPH TRAITS
          Athletic
          Generally hard body
          Well defined muscles
          Rectangular shaped body
          Strong
          Gains muscle easily
Gains fat more easily than ectomorphs

ENDOMORPH TRAITS
          Soft and round body
Gains muscle and fat very easily
          Is generally short
          "Stocky" build
          Round physique
Finds it hard to lose fat
          Slow metabolism
          Muscles not so well defined

Best fitness magazine for women

 Best Fitness Magazine For Women

Perusing magazines in the fitness section of any major retailer can be an intimidating experience. Trying to find the perfect fit when it comes to a fitness magazine for women can be equally challenging, but finding the right publication to fit your needs important.
Our favorite women's fitness magazine for is Robert Kennedy’s Oxygen magazine. This publication is so much more than simply fitness magazine. It’s pages offer readers recipes for clean eating, new fitness routines each month, interviews with fitness industry leaders, and SO much more.

While other magazines have articles about lip gloss and celebrity weight loss, this magazine connects with real Oxygen readers who have transformed their lives and achieved their fitness goals through discipline and hard work.

Of course Oxygen may not be an ideal fit for all women, depending on what you’re interests are; but if you are interested in building muscle, trying new recipes, and learning from leading experts in the female fitness industry… Oxygen is the magazine you’ve been waiting for!
